TA Resource Room - 312 Thaw

The Resource Room is where Graduate Teaching Assistants are able to help students in introductory physics and astronomy classes. The purpose of this is to assist students in such a way that they can work independently, each being giving fair attention and not simply given the answers. Please note the Resource Room will remain open for limited hours during midterms and final week.

Meetings are remote or in-person as labeled below. Remote hours are held via the Physics and Astronomy Discord. In-person hours are in 312 Thaw Hall. No apppointments are required. Eligible classes will distribute the invitation link during the first few weeks of class.

You can access the PhyAst Discord Invitation link here. Please log in with your Pitt credentials to access this url.

Encountering Issues?

Please Check https://discordstatus.com/. Sometimes we encounter an outtage from Discord's end that we are not able to correct, however most outtages are corrected within the day. Please contact UTAs/TAs directly via email if you need urgent help during an outtage.
Alternately, if the invitation link isn't working or if you have any questions, please email the Undergraduate Coordiantor at paugrad@pitt.edu.
