Improving SUSY Limits through Resummation, Merging and Combination
To maximize the information obtained from various BSM searches conducted at the LHC, it is imperative to consider combining ATLAS and CMS analyses. We study the production of pure strong squark pairs, associated squark neutralino and the pure weak neutralino pair in a simplified SUSY scenario. In order to improve accuracy, events of different jet multiplicities are merged and associated with higher order resummed cross sections.
Finally, both different processes and analyzes can be combined to push the exclusion limit towards higher masses.
