Spontaneous Flavor Violation and the Higgs
Common lore says that new physics must be either flavor blind or very similar in flavor structure to the SM. I will show how a very simple natural UV complete setup, Spontaneous Flavor Violation, gives an alternative and potentially wildly different flavor structure while satisfying all existing constraints. I will look at a number of examples relating this to Higgs physics which has the potential to motivate new directions in studying the Higgs as well as BSM physics.
