Title: Neutrino Oscillation and the Daya Bay Experiment

Abstract: Neutrinos are among the most abundant particles in the Universe, yet they are notoriously difficult to detect. Tremendous progress has been made to reveal the properties of these elusive particles, thanks to many beautiful experiments during the last two decades. We now know that neutrinos can morph from one type to another and have nonzero masses. Nevertheless, many mysteries about these ghostly particles remain to be solved. In this talk, I will discuss the results from the Daya Bay experiment, which pinned down one of the previously missing pieces of the neutrino puzzle.
