SrTiO$_3$ and KTaO$_3$ - based Nanoelectronics]{SrTiO$_3$ and KTaO$_3$ - based Nanoelectronics
Complex oxides offer a wide range of unique properties. The coupling between spin, charge, orbital and lattice degree of freedom renders a rich phase diagram including superconductivity, ferroelectricity, ferromagnetism and so on. Meanwhile, semiconducting and superconducting nanodevices are the key components of quantum transport, quantum sensing and quantum simulation. Oxide nanoelectronics sit at the intersection of these two major areas, where we can fabricate functional devices as well as probe exotic physics. In this thesis, I would like to summarize my work on mesoscale devices created at oxide heterointerfaces. I will demonstrate LAO/STO membranes as a free-standing nanoelectronic platform. I will also establish LAO/KTO as a new playground for reconfigurable superconducting devices, where superconducting weak links and quantum interference devices are realized.
