Higgs Boson Decays to b-Quarks as Window into New Physics at the LHC
After a successful first run of the Large Hadron Collider leading to the discovery of the Higgs boson, the Run-2 data is allowing ATLAS and CMS to perform measurements of the Higgs boson properties with unprecedented precision, while searching for new physics effects at the highest collision energy ever produced by mankind. I will explain how Higgs boson decays to bottom quarks are a challenging yet essential tool to characterize the Higgs sector and to search for new physics, and discuss recent results as well as the discovery prospects for the next years to come.
