Title:Constraining extended Higgs sectors at the LHC and beyond
Abstract:
After the discovery of a Higgs boson in 2012, one of the most important questions which need to be answered is whether the discovered particle is indeed the Higgs boson predicted by the Standard Model, or whether it is an ingredient of a more extended Higgs sector predicting additional resonances. In this talk I will discuss two possible extensions of the Standard Model Higgs sector, namely, a model with an additional scalar resonance as well as a two Higgs doublet model with a dark matter candidate. I will present constraints on the models' parameter space from theoretical as well as experimental limits, and discuss the prospects of discovering these particles at the current LHC run.
