Light new physics with decays at rest
Positively charged long-lived SM particles come to rest via electromagnetic energy loss when transiting through matter. Examples include muons, pions, and kaons. I will discuss recently proposed searches for new physics in \mu^+ ---> e^+ X , \pi^+ ---> e^+ X (at Mu2e) and K-> a \pi (at JSNS^2).
