The in-person Artists-In-Residence program was held on Friday, April 15, 2022 at the Frick Fine Arts Auditorium. We were thrilled to be able to celebrate the fine works this year after the 2020 in-person program was cancelled and in 2021 the program did not take place. The 2022 artists were: Ramin Akhovijou, Jack Eschmann, Mark Micchelli, Cara Rossetti, Richard Trevino, Kira Tsvetkova, and Emerson Voss.
The Department of Physics and Astronomy Artist in Residence Program provides undergraduate and graduate students in the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences with an opportunity to submit research projects that respond to physics and astronomy research from visual arts, literary, film, performance, music composition, and design perspectives. Currently open to English, film studies, music, studio arts, theatre arts, and architectural studies majors and minors, the program allows students to embed themselves in a Department of Physics and Astronomy research lab or group to envision and produce a response that connects to the scientific research.
The Artist in Residence program began in 2016. This program has supported 28 students, 14 graduate students and 14 undergraduate students.
