Last year Andrew Mugler served as research co-advisor to Caelan Brooks, a physics major at Kutztown University. Caelan is this year’s winner of the APS Apker Award for undergraduate research:
Caelan’s work with Andrew "for developing a statistical model that depicts the formation of phenotypic patterns associated with bacterial biofilm growth.” is mentioned in the citation.
Caelan applied to our graduate program and was offered the Baranger Fellowship, but declined; she is currently a graduate student at Harvard University.
Congratulations, Andrew!
